Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) launched a teaching aid grant program for Vocational High Schools (SMK) in commemoration of National Education Day which falls on May 2. This props grant is part of the TRAKNUS Cerdas Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, which has the noble goal of supporting and improving the quality of vocational education in Indonesia as a form of TRAKNUS commitment. In line with the government's vision in improving the competence of human resources through quality vocational education.
This program is part of a series of events commemorating Traktor Nusantara's 50th Anniversary, taking place at SMKS Binakarya Mandiri Bekasi, as well as a vehicle to foster relationships between the industrial world and vocational education.
National Education Day is an important moment to remember how crucial the role of education is in building the future of the nation. On this passionate day, TRAKNUS is proud to organize a props grant event in the form of Perkins engines to selected SMKs. As a form of transparency in the selection of grant recipients, TRAKNUS first conducted a selection to the SMK schools assisted by TRAKNUS. Important benchmark criteria include activeness during the TRAKNUS Teaching program, the availability of supporting facilities at school, as well as an interview session exploring the utilization plan of the engine to be donated so that SMKS Binakarya Mandiri Bekasi was chosen as the grant recipient.
The memorandum of understanding for the handover of Perkins engine props was marked by the signing of the Handover Minutes by HCSSEHSGA Division Head Iman Nurcahyo with the principal of SMKS Binakarya Mandiri Bekasi. The excitement was also attended by school representatives, students, and TRAKNUS workers.
“We hope that this program can help advance vocational education in Indonesia. With the active involvement of TRAKNUS, together we can create a young generation that is ready to compete in the global market. This props grant is not only a real contribution to education, but also a long-term investment in creating a competent and qualified workforce. We believe that synergy between industry and education is the key to building a brighter future for this nation,” said Iman Nurcahyo in his speech.
The props grant program is expected to have a positive impact on the teaching and learning process at SMK, especially in the practice of using and maintaining heavy equipment. With these props, students can learn in a more practical and applicable manner, in accordance with current industry needs. As well as making a real contribution to the development of competent and skilled human resources, so as to support sustainable national economic growth, which in turn will create better employment opportunities for SMK graduates.
