TRAKNUS Collaboration with Astra Group to Care for Post-Disaster Recovery in Sum...

Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) continues to prioritize empathy and care literally reflected and has been embedded in the heart of the company to move hand in hand to ease the burden experienced by the surrounding community affected by natural disasters. The act of caring is not just a part of social responsibility but means more, namely that the company is part of the community. The impact of flash floods and landslides that occurred in the West Sumatra region, naturally impregnated the Padang branch of the TRAKNUS team with Affiliated Company (Affco) Astra to take a real role in sharing and moving to help our affected brothers and sisters.

On May 25, 2024, under the command of Astra Group Padang Regional Office David William Parlindungan, carried out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities by providing assistance in the form of basic necessities to disaster victims. The assistance includes food, clean water, clothing, medical supplies, and baby diapers, which are urgent needs for the victims to start the recovery process.

The natural disasters that occurred not only resulted in material losses, but also caused loss of life and significantly affected the lives of local communities, including the breakdown of the Padang-Bukittinggi National Road in the Anai Valley area.

TRAKNUS took an active role by collaborating with Affco Astra Group, always synergizing to make a real contribution in post-disaster recovery efforts by showing sincerity in helping the affected communities.

“We, with full empathy, hope that the assistance provided will be able to ease the burden they carry and become a light for them in the long recovery process,” said Branch Operational Head of TRAKNUS Padang Branch Reza Andrey when participating in this caring and helping hand action.

Astra Group's move was very well received and received direct appreciation by the acting head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Sumatra Province Rudy Rinaldy. “This activity is clear evidence that by uniting and working together we can overcome any challenges faced, and provide the necessary support for those in need. Hopefully the assistance provided by Astra Group to disaster-affected communities can be an inspiration for other companies to participate in humanitarian action,” said Rudy Rinaldy during the handover of aid.
