
As a form of commitment to motivating employees to innovate, on September 24, 2025, the Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) Group held the Innovation Convention. The TRAKNUS Innovation Convention 2025 was conducted in a hybrid format, with the main event taking place at the Pulogadung Head Office in Jakarta, while branch offices joined online via the zoom platform. This year’s theme was “Ensure Operational Excellence by Driving Productivity and Sustainability.”

The event was attended by the Board of Directors (BOD), management from both the head office and branch offices, as well as all employees of the TRAKNUS Group. The convention is a celebration for innovators, where all employees of the TRAKNUS Group come together to bring their creative ideas and innovative solutions This moment was a significant opportunity to gather inspiration, ideas, creations, new solutions, collaborative spirit, and as well as the courage to change. Which focuses on coursed on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and sustainability, ultimately driving and strengthening the company’s performance to reach a higher level.
This event serves as concrete evidence of TRAKNUS Group strong commitment to building a culture of innovation. Every employee is encouraged to create new ideas, smart solutions, and significant breakthroughs create added value. Various innovations have emerged, ranging from operational process improvements, improving work efficiency, and customer service quality to developing sustainability initiatives that positively impact the environment and address global challenges for the future.
The TRAKNUS Group innovation journey throughout 2025 represents is a series of sustainability initiatives, with various activities to foster a creative and collaborative culture. A series of activities were carried out, starting with the AOC Kick-off Meeting, AOC Orientation Program, Innovation Support Roadshow, Project Management Workshop, Innovation Sharing, and Paper Submissions phase I, II, and III. The culmination of this journey was the presentation of the best and verified ideas at the “TRAKNUS Innovation Convention”, a celebration of creativity where TRAKNUS employees came together to honor the smart work and collaboration they have achieved.

The event was officially opened by Director in Charge of Innovation, Daniel Hermawan, who in his speech expressed his sincere appreciation to all TRAKNUS Group employees for their contributions to the company’s innovation journey. “Operational excellence is a crucial foundation for continuous growth and one of the key drivers of the company’s success,” he stated. He further emphasized that one way to achieve this is through continuous improvement, and the TRAKNUS Innovation Convention stands as a tangible manifestation of this effort. He also expressed his hope that in the years to come, the spirit and enthusiasm for innovation will continue to grow stronger and become deeply rooted across all levels of the organization.
The TRAKNUS Innovation Convention 2025 will feature competitions with two main innovation themes namely Productivity and Sustainability. The Productivity theme includes categories such as Technical Suggestion System (SS), Non-Technical Suggestion System (SS), and Quality Control Circle (QCC). The Sustainability theme covers categories including Energy Management, Waste Diverted, and Lost Time Injury Rate.

The Sustainability theme, which is being featured as a competition category for the first time this year, has become one of the main highlights of the event. The appearance of theme of sustainability in this innovation competition is a concrete step by TRAKNUS Group to strengthen its commitment to sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the company’s serious support for the “Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations.”

This year, a total of 841 innovation papers were collected nationwide. Of these, 701 papers carried the Productivity theme, consisting of 16 QCP papers, 103 QCC papers, 116 SS papers, and 579 RESI papers. Meanwhile, 140 papers focused on the Sustainability theme, including 16 papers on Energy Management, 33 on Waste Diverted, 32 on Lost Time Injury Rate, and 59 in other categories.
From the total submitted papers, the national committee conducted a thorough review and verification process by assessing the 3W aspects (winning team, winning concept, winning system), overall performance, and the quality of structure and presentation. Based on this evaluation, five candidates were then selected as finalists for the Productivity category, while for the Sustainability category, three candidates from each category were chosen to advance to the final stage. For the finalists, this represents a moment of pride and one of the greatest achievements in the company’s innovation journey.

The finalists were invited to present their papers directly in front of a panel of judges consisting of a combination of Division Head and cross department Heads. This approach ensures that the selection process is conducted objectively and transparently, while also strengthening the overall quality of the Innovation Convention.

Andrey Buana Rusli, as a Quality Control Circle (QCC) judge stated that this year’s competition was exceptionally tight, as the teams who made it to the final were truly the best of the best. “All the judges are proud to witness the remarkable enthusiasm of every participant, not only presenting their ideas but also demonstrating real benefits and tangible impacts that have already been implemented. Each team succeeded in convincing the judges with well-prepared and high-quality innovation presentations.” He added that every participant is a winner, as all have contributed solutions and helped improve productivity. This made the judging process particularly challenging, as the score differences between participants were very narrow,” he explained.
After nearly a full day, the entire convention and judging process concluded successfully. The participants gave their best through their innovation presentations in front of the jury. The journey to the top of the convention was not a short process, involving a rigorous selection process from the paper collection stage to the final review of creative innovation ideas that had an impact on implementation, which were then filtered to reach the final stage. At the conclusion of the TRAKNUS Innovation Convention 2025, the most eagerly awaited moment finally arrived, the announcement of the winners. The National Innovation Committee proudly announced the champions of this year’s innovation competition across all categories.
In addition to the main awards, the National Innovation Committee also presented several special recognition awards to Agents of Change (AOC) and Innovators as a token of appreciation for their consistency and contributions. To add excitement to the event, the committee invited all viewers to participate in various interactive games and spin the wheel of fortune to win a variety of exciting prizes.
