Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) continues to strengthen the foundation for leaders by organizing Effective Coaching Training for all Division Heads and Function Heads entitled “Driving Performance and Development”. This form of resource development was held by the Executive Management & Learning Center (EMLC) Function in collaboration with Consultant CareerX, taking place in the Dining Room of the TRAKNUS Head Office, Pulogadung on Monday, November 18, 2024.

“This Coaching Training is a continuation of the first phase of the Executive Management Development Program (EMDP-1) which was held last year. Coaching for Managerial Training is held to foster creativity and practice in directing, fostering, training, sharing knowledge & experience as a Leader in their field, thus forming sub-ordinates who can become their cadres in the future,” explained Executive Management & Learning Center (EMLC) Head of TRAKNUS Carmila Sinta Uli Sihombing.  

At the beginning of the session, CareerX Trainer Sylvina Savitri shared the foundation literacy of the purpose and benefits of coaching itself, namely as an opportunity to develop leadership, build awareness of potential, self-worth and resources, and as a supportive partner in finding steps and plans needed to achieve goals.  The understanding that leadership is not just about giving directions, but also involves mentoring skills, is the basis for this training. 

In order to gain a systematic understanding in this training, the trainer introduced the GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) model as a guide to coaching. It is possible for participants to identify goals to be achieved, evaluate the existing situation, explore various solution options, and set concrete steps to achieve them. With this approach, participants are expected to develop skills to manage teams more effectively, explore team potential, and provide innovative solutions to challenges faced. 

Participants were also given the opportunity to hone their coaching skills in a realistic and applicable context under the guidance of experienced CareerX trainers Budhi Martono and Sylvina Savitri.

More excitement was felt when the participants did a roleplay. Taking turns playing the role of coach and coachee in practicing coaching. This session has an important role in implementing independently what has been learned relevant in real situations. Coaching is not just an instructional approach, but an art of exploring the potential of those who already have knowledge and experience, then guiding them to achieve higher results through a process of reflection and deep learning. 

“The awareness of the importance of the mentoring & coaching process at TRAKNUS, will be an extraordinary tool or method for company performance, and we quite appreciate that TRAKNUS shows commitment to the seriousness of the process and implementation of coaching followed by follow-up,” said CareerX Consultant Budhi Martono.

Through this training, it is expected to achieve significant results, including the creation of more open communication patterns, more productive and innovative teams, and the creation of a work environment that supports sustainable growth. All of these practically play a role in strengthening a work culture that prioritizes collaboration, creativity, and achieving common goals.
