As a concrete manifestation of the Company's commitment to build a work culture in prioritizing Occupational Health and Safety (K3), Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) Jakarta Branch held a Safety Talk Kick off on Monday, February 17, 2025. This initiative is a development of the National Safety Talk Kick off which was launched by the Sustaiability, Security, Environment, Health, and Safety (SSEHS) Department on February 11, 2025.
It is a strategic step to strengthen collective awareness, especially for mechanics working in areas that have various risks that can impact workers' OHS. The event was hosted by TRAKNUS EHS Staff Heykal Aldaffa and attended by all TRAKNUS Jakarta Branch workers, also attended by SSEHS Department Head Pendi Setyawan and Branch Operation Head (BOH) Ardiko Pardede.
In his speech, Pendi Setyawan emphasized that Safety Talk is not just a routine, but the main foundation in building a safer and more productive work environment. He highlighted the importance of sustainability in the implementation of Safety Talk as a preventive measure to reduce the potential for work accidents and increase operational effectiveness in the field. “Through Safety Talk, we want to instill awareness that work safety is not only an individual responsibility, but also a shared culture that must be carried out consistently in every branch,” he said.
In the Safety Sharing session, Team Leader Service Jakarta-1 Roy Andri Asmoro, shared field experiences that underscored the importance of compliance with safety standards. He explained how overlooked small aspects can lead to big risks if not properly understood and recognized. “Concern for safety not only keeps us safe from accidents, but also reflects our professionalism in the eyes of our customers. When we work with high safety standards, our customers' trust in us will increase,” he said.
Furthermore, mechanics are invited to be proactive in providing input around safety through the Suggestion System (SS) with the theme of work safety, so that any potential risks can be effectively identified and minimized. Disasters and work accidents can be prevented with good education and preparedness. One of them is the presentation of this Safety Talk, no job is more important than the safety of yourself and fellow workers.
TRAKNUS continues to encourage the commitment of efforts to build a work environment that is not only safe, but also oriented towards sustainability. With the spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility, we are optimistic that we can create a safety culture that is embedded in every aspect of operations, for a better and safer future for all workers.
