In an increasingly dynamic digital era, the ability to convey ideas persuasively and data-based is the key to facing this change. Realizing the importance of this, Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) brings basic changes to improve competitiveness and influence the way of working by holding “Effective Presentation Communication & Visualization” training on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 which took place in the Dining Room Building A TRAKNUS Head Office, Jakarta. 

This training was attended by 29 participants who were accompanied by Executive Management & Learning Center (EMLC) Staff, also attended by EMLC Head Carmila Sinta Uli Sihombing. This intensive training delivered by PRESENTA is designed to equip workers with an understanding of the basic principles of effective presentations, from structuring content to optimizing data visualization to make it easier to understand. Participants were taught the art of building strong data-driven narratives and convincing delivery techniques.

Carmila Sinta Uli Sihombing emphasized the urgency of understanding good presentation techniques as a fundamental element in professional communication. “When we speak in front of an audience, we are not just conveying information, but also building understanding and influencing decisions. Mastery of effective presentation techniques is the key to ensuring the message is well conveyed and impactful,” she said in her speech. 

The training was divided into five main sessions developed for an integral understanding of business presentations. The first session covered the basic principles of effective presentations, followed by the second session that focused on data driven presentation, including how to recognize context and structure content based on the 2W+1H principle (Who, What, and How). The next session explored data, storytelling strategies visualized in presentation slides, while the last two sessions highlighted aspects of verbal and non-verbal communication to ensure a more persuasive and influential presentation delivery.  

One of the main points emphasized in this training is how data is not only presented in a text, numbers, images and graphs, but packaged in a systematic, interesting and relevant information sequence for the audience.

“An effective business presentation is one that has specific objectives, supported by various visual elements that are informative, persuasive and systematic and easily understood by the audience. Therefore, what the audience really pays attention to is not just data, but what they can get out of it,” said PRESENTA Trainer Muhammad Noer.

With a combination of interactive lecture methods, discussions, games, assignments, and hands-on practice, this training ensures that the theories learned can be directly applied in work scenarios. Participants are also required to practice the theories that have been obtained, including effective opening and closing presentation techniques. 

Participants not only improved their competence in crafting systematic and persuasive presentations, but also gained the confidence to emerge as effective communicators in the business world.
