As part of its commitment to community-based economic empowerment, TRAKNUS through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program initiated a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with MSMEs of Sewing Group (KoJa). This activity collaborates with the United Tractors (UT) CSR team and the Cakung Business Development Institute (LPB) which is a collaboration between UT and the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) to provide insight and strategies for building a convection-based business.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at UT Jakarta, as many as 5 representatives of RW 8 Jatinegara Village residents who are assisted by TRAKNUS, together with the TRAKNUS CSR team and the LPB Cakung team, participated in an intensive discussion session with UMKM KoJa. This activity focuses on the business journey of UMKM KoJa, the challenges faced, and the strategies they have implemented to survive and develop.
TRAKNUS' active initiative in fostering the community around the company through FGDs has succeeded in creating a dynamic discussion space, encouraging collaboration and exchange of ideas. With the presence of KoJa UMKM Owner Slamet Riyadi, participants gained direct insight into the challenges of home industries, ranging from limited market share, lack of business capital, to production infrastructure constraints.
“Community economic empowerment is not just providing capital and infrastructure, but forming an ecosystem that supports each other, besides that those involved in the business must understand the market share,” said UT CSR Associate Rohman Alif Wibisono emphasizing the importance of sustainability in the development of MSMEs.
The results of the discussion showed the enthusiasm of cadres in forming community-based business groups with the concept of mentoring. TRAKNUS invites those who are already proficient in sewing and those who want to learn from scratch to join this initiative. Thus, housewives who already have sewing skills can act as mentors for those who are still beginners. In addition, the initiation of cooperation with Koja MSMEs in providing raw materials for the production of majun is one of the concrete agendas proposed.
“Thank you to TRAKNUS for providing opportunities for us cadres, to try to learn and develop basic skills in order to step over the existing obstacles. Not only about techniques, but also financial management and effective marketing strategies,” said one of the Sewing Cadres Sri Dwi Hastuti, emphasizing the urgency of multidimensional provision in entrepreneurship.
“TRAKNUS is committed to participating in empowering the community through the TRAKNUS Ekonomi CSR program, which aims to create business opportunities and increase community-based economic independence. Through this program, TRAKNUS not only provides support in the form of skills training and facility assistance, but also builds a sustainable business ecosystem for the community. With the spirit of collaboration, we believe every individual has the opportunity to be empowered and independent,” said CSR & Sustainability Management Staff Nur Inayah Febriana.
The TRAKNUS CSR program not only creates economic opportunities, but also builds a resilient entrepreneurial mentality in the midst of various industry challenges. With a targeted strategy and sustainable support, this small step is believed to be able to have a big impact on society, sewing a brighter future for local MSMEs.
