Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) emphasized its strong commitment to humanity by holding a blood donation event. This activity was held in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) East Jakarta, located in the Multipurpose Room of the TRAKNUS Head Office on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
The blood donation event this time managed to collect 73 blood bags, contributing to the collective responsibility of workers to save others in need. Sustainability, Security, Environment, Health & Safety (SSEHS) Department plays an active role in the entire series of activities to make it run in an orderly and safe manner. In accordance with PMI's operational standards and guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), the ideal time span for donation is in the interval of 3 to 4 months.
“We hope that this activity has become an integral part of the company's culture, each individual will be moved to contribute to humanitarian missions. We believe that every kindness will have a positive impact on both ourselves and others,” said SSEHS Department Head TRAKNUS Pendi Setyawan.
From a medical point of view, blood donation is proven to reduce the risk of heart disease, maintain the balance of iron levels in the body, and stimulate the renewal of healthier blood cells. By facilitating blood donation activities that take place in the office environment, it certainly helps facilitate workers to donate regularly. TRAKNUS remains committed and optimistic that activities like this will continue to be a catalyst in building a better future. (NRR)
