As a form of firm commitment in maintaining health and safety for workers, Traktor Nusantara (TRAKNUS) held a series of technical training activities on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR). Health and safety are indicators to ensure the company's operations are more productive and efficient. This event is part of TRAKNUS' efforts to achieve the Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) target, which is to prevent work accidents that result in loss of working hours. 

The first activity held was First Aid for Accidents (P3K) training with a focus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques on Thursday, September 12, 2024. This comprehensive training material was presented in a light and interesting manner by experienced and competent instructors in theory and practice. Followed by more than 60 participants divided into 2 sessions with the aim that workers can better understand and be able to practice taking appropriate first aid actions in emergency situations. Beginning with an introduction and basic concepts about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by Dr. Febriana Listya Andianti, followed by a demonstration from Utami Rusmayanti for the main steps and tips that can be applied using a dummy doll simulating real conditions. Both are currently medical personnel serving at the United Tractor and TRAKNUS Polyclinics.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or also known as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a first aid technique to provide artificial breath to a person whose heartbeat has stopped before medical assistance arrives. This technique is one of the chest compression techniques, which is usually performed on people who drown in water or have a sudden heart attack. CPR must be performed correctly and as quickly as possible to save a person's life.

An important aspect designed in this training to develop practical skills for readiness to deal with medical emergencies in the workplace is that participants get the opportunity to practice CPR actions directly guided and guided by the instructor.

The next sequence to complete the safety training was the use of Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) and evacuation procedures held at the South Parking Lot of Pulogadung Head Office on September 27, 2024. This training is very important to equip workers with knowledge on how to handle small fires safely and effectively and to protect workers from fire hazards.

Like the previous training, the participants were first educated. Starting with an insight into the types of fire extinguishers and their proper use, mastering the procedures and methods of: storing, maintaining, checking and keeping clean including the proficiency of checking the pressure of the fire extinguisher itself, delivered by Environment, Health, and Security Staff Heykal Aldaffa Azizie. 

The next lesson focused on practical skills and instructions for using fire extinguishers presented by Security Commander Anggalus Jontot. The basic techniques of operating depart from how to hold, direct the spray by following the PASS (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) procedure.

HCSSEHSGA Division Head TRAKNUS Iman Nurcahyo said in his speech that emergency situations and disasters cannot be predicted but this can be prevented, thus moving TRAKNUS to organize health and safety training for workers.

This worker safety training has a very important benefit value in an effort to build awareness and develop knowledge for workers regarding health and safety risks in the workplace in particular, and can create a safe and healthy environment with a culture of full responsibility for the safety of themselves and colleagues.
